(spoilerage to follow)

GOOD CALL on the whole "Lois must've thought her kid was either the immaculate conception or the result of a drunken tumble with Olsen at the Daily Planet Christmas party" thing. I might be throwing gas on a fire I don't even particularly want to light--but do you think that's a mistake Singer made because he's not wired to think of the actual specs of being preg? I mean, I would *never* have asked a reader/viewer to buy Lois having no memory of the conception of her own child (lady's smart--has she not had a damn paternity test??), but I'm thinking that has less to do with being female and more because I wouldn't ever hinge so huge a plot point on such crappy logic.

I didn't stop to read it during the exchange between you and Tom. Maybe I could borrow it again?

Have you read Superman: Red Son? It tackles most of Eco's issues about Superman as more of a world-changing force head-on. It's also a very, very good book. The only great thing Millar has ever written..
